The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are new items that increase your stats. They can be used to upgrade trinkets, armor and weapons.
Upgrades to items use a system known as "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is designed to lower chances of losing and provide a solid safety net when upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader allows players the ability to upgrade equipment levels of their weapons, armor and trinkets. The upgrades are applied to the equipment through a visit to an item upgrader NPC with the appropriate currency. The upgrade of an item will improve the stats of that item.
This NPC is found in every major city, and is located in the edge of the square, near an Teleport. The NPC can be used to upgrade any type of armor, weapon or trinket with the exception of items that require an adventure to acquire or craft.
Note: The equipment you use to apply an upgrade is consumed forever. You are not able to apply multiple upgrades to the same piece. If you attempt to do this, the previous upgrade will be replaced.
Upgrade your equipment to increase the damage, your survival and your overall power. If you own Benthic gear that you obtained through the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at level 385 and is upgradeable by using [Prismatic Manapearls[Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades for your PvE gear are account-wide while upgrades for your PvP gear requires a specific currency, such as [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade other pieces of gear in the same armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade for that equipment.
Weapons
Weapons are a crucial part of any successful character. They can be used to deter the wrathful monster, take down an intruder or win a shooting competition. Or they can simply be hung on the wall. It isn't a matter of how you plan to make use of the weapon. It can be upgraded, and it will alter with your style of play as time passes.
Upgrades to weapons can be made by visiting a Blacksmith who has a Weapon Workbench. The Blacksmith Hewg, located in the right section of the Roundtable Hold hub, is a great choice to upgrade your weapon. There is also a Smithing Master called Iji located in the "Road to the Manor" Site of Grace in the northwestern region of Liurna of the Lakes. Smithing Master Iji improves armor and weapons.
In general, upgrading a weapon will raise the level of its weapon by 5. However, for Azerite weaponry (see below) and other special weaponry the item's level increases by 15. A player can only have one active upgrade at a given time. If you attempt to upgrade a weapon while another upgrade is in use the upgrade will fail and your weapon will return to its original level.
In addition to increasing the weapon's level of a weapon upgrades also give it additional stats that can be used to boost its power. Some of these upgrades will be passive, while others can provide increased damage, faster attacks, increased range, or critical strike chances.
Ashes of War weapons are awarded when certain bosses of raid are defeated. Whetblades are rare items which unlock new Affinities for weapons.
After a weapon has been fully upgraded, the player is able to continue to upgrade the weapon as long as he/she has the right upgrade materials and currency. It's important to note that weapons can only be upgraded up to a maximum of ilvl 25. Players should upgrade their weapons only after they have obtained the maximum number of upgrades from the regular and Whetblade item.
Trinkets
The Trinkets can provide a range of Boosts. They can be upgraded just like other equipment through interaction with an Item Upgrader NPC.
Stardew Valley is the place where you can locate an upgrade tool for items. To access it, you must un-equip any weapons or armor. Once you have done that then, the NPC will appear with a red "Equipped" banner on his head.
If you choose him, he will give you the possibility of upgrading your weapon or armor. You must bring the currency and the items to the NPC. The NPC will then upgrade your gear by one level.

Set Pieces
A set piece is a crucial scene that raises the film and stays with the audience long after credits have rolled. It could be a sequence that is arousing, emotional or just a visual display. Generally upgrading an item can increase its value, however there are some exceptions. For instance the item may have inherent requirements that limit its use (take Whistan's shield from FB sorcs for an example), or when an item has a low base stat that could be upgraded to achieve the perfect or highest roll, then it will see only very little use and thus gain only a small amount of value.
