WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are an enchantment and item that can be applied to armor and weapons to boost their stats. These upgrade items add a number of points to the level gauge for the item, with the cost increasing in proportion to their popularity.
The melee PvP scene highly values the perfect roll of the armor for its ability to minimize weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are an essential element of the crafting process. They can enhance the quality of an item as well as make it stronger or weaker and even give it an additional benefit. They can also alter the appearance of the item. Some upgrades are universal, whereas others have rules specific to weapons and armor. Using the wrong type of upgrade can destroy a excellent weapon, and could even lead to it becoming useless.
The general rule is that you should only upgrade a piece of equipment to the level of the highest-level gear in its category. item upgrades can only upgrade helms to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded up to the equivalent level of the sword. However, this won't increase the weapon's damage output, but can decrease its trade value.
You can upgrade an item using flightstones or crests. The amount of each depends on the level of the item as well as the slot. Upgrades to a sword, for example will cost more flightstones compared to an upgrade to an Cloak. You can also avail discounts on the number of crests and flightstones required to upgrade an item.
The upgrade of an item will fill up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step raises the item's Tier level by one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. Depending on the type of item, it may require a different amount of upgrades to reach this point. It is important to remember that any process that can be used to mount a disk must not be run when upgrading. You must also ensure that the disk you are upgrading is not being used as an operating system drive.
Enchantment allows you to change white or Common items to blue or rare ones. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop in the Capital District is where you can do this. This process does not add gem or rune slots to the equipment however it does alter the size of the equipment. It increases the size of the equipment by the size of a creature that is two categories smaller, for example, a Blaster Pistol is deemed small, while an Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be made on any type of equipment. This includes armor, weapons and trinkets. The upgrade components are typically random drops, however they may also be obtained through side quests. Universal upgrades can be permanent or temporary and can also be combined with Power-Ups. They can be branching or linear.
The Universal Upgrade begins when "internal technologies" can give sentient creatures new capabilities that could not develop naturally. Implants and prostheses are two examples of internal technology. This type of upgrade is not the same as medical internal technology, which seeks to restore the capabilities of nature. Rather, it represents the beginning of an upgrade process that alters civilizations in a fundamental way. The universal upgrade may be long and complicated. The process can be classified into two types one of complete success and the other of partial failure.
Similar to the way that resort upgrades function at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW the majority of them occur due to operational reasons like room availability or overbooking. In the case Universal is involved, it may be a case of moving guests to another resort that is open. This is not meant as a sarcastic comment however in the current economic climate, it could be difficult to avoid.
Unlike Runes, Sigils and Jewels, which are only applicable to certain types of equipment (armor trinkets, weapons, or) universal upgrades can be applied to any gear. They can also be applied to a variety of items at once. This makes them more versatile than other types of upgrade. This can be a problem when upgrading items on a specific gear route. It will increase the level of items for all items on that route.
Prior to performing an upgrade, it is important to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. Then, you can install new files using the GetChildItem-Recurse command, or Unblock-File. It is also recommended to perform a basic checks against your PSU server to ensure that it is operating correctly.
Jewels
Jewels are enhancements that can be put into weapons, armor and accessories. They offer varying stat bonuses and secondary effects based on the gem and reagent that is used to make them. They are found in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can also be purchased from a Master craftsman for gold or karma. Jewels can be crafted using a table for jewelry using five of the same reagent type and one gem to create a jewel with a higher or lower tier. This is similar to upgrading a stone at the gemcrafting table.
Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers that they have. Jewels of higher tiers are more modifiers than lower-tier ones. The primary effect is determined by the jewel's tier, while the secondary effect is random. Players can make use of luck potions in order to increase their chances of receiving more beneficial secondary effects.
Jewels can be incorporated into items that have sockets that match as with other upgrade components. For example Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both add strength, but the Garnet Pebble will only increase the number of hits that are regular, while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's strength. Jewels can be inserted into all levels of weapon, armor, and accessory slots, and certain trinkets that are rarer or exotic nature that require a slot that is not used.
As with other DM mechanics, gems can help to ensure that items are special to their owners. With a range of different upgrade options jewels let players alter their equipment to find the combination that best suits them. They can upgrade their gear with new gems in the event that they feel that the original set is no longer the best.
Requirements
The WoW item upgrade system lets players increase the item level of weapons, equipment and trinkets above their current item level by using specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor resources. These upgrades increase item stats and some also have special effects. (For example Dolphin's grace grants swimmers the same grace as dolphins). These upgrades can be obtained by upgrading items or salvaging them. Different items will drop various upgrade components.
The process of upgrading can be a bit complicated however, it's not difficult. First, the player picks the item they wish to upgrade, and then click on the Upgrade button. A window will appear with the different upgrades available for the item. This window will display the upgrade level, any type of upgrade bonus (such as Tech Points or Quality Chance), and the cost of the upgrade. The bonus type for upgrades will be displayed below the bar which shows the upgrade level.
If a player chooses to make an upgrade, the item will be taken to the NPC who is upgrading who will explain how to upgrade the item. The player will then need to supply the correct currency and, if needed additional materials. These requirements are based on the item level with weapons generally having more stringent requirements than armor.
Many upgrade recipes include a list of 'Acceptable Material as well as the required components. This list also includes other components of an upgrade that can be used to upgrade an item. It also includes a flag that indicates whether or not the item has an assured boost. This is important because the value of an upgrade can vary greatly depending on its 'extras. For instance the gear that is perfectly rolled can be worth more than the unupgraded version.
The list of upgrades that require valorstones or crests will be listed in a separate list below the main list. The number of crests and the valorstones required depends on the level of the item. Weapon upgrades require the most Valorstones.
